Convenient Decor
Convenient Decor (Mim1q) is smaller than its name suggests as a pure decoration mod (114 lang entries) — a chunk of its content is actually functional wearables and tools rather than static blocks. Its config/convenientdecor.json5 file, gated behind a warning that changes must match on both client and server and require a full restart, exposes feature toggles: a watering can can permanently hydrate farmland with a right-click (on), an umbrella attracts lightning during thunderstorms (on) and slows falling / reduces fall damage when held up (on), rain clothes grant extra hearts while raining/storming (on), and there are dedicated integration toggles for the Origins mod so umbrellas and rain hats/coats interact with Origins’ rain/sunlight power (both on).
So on this server: watering cans are a real farming convenience item (not just decorative), and umbrellas/rain clothes are functional weather-gear with real mechanical effects, not purely cosmetic. All six of these are enabled by default here.
How you’ll use it here
Despite the name, the useful items here are functional gear, not static decor. Craft a watering can to permanently hydrate farmland with a right-click (a real farming shortcut), carry an umbrella to slow your fall / reduce fall damage when held up (and note it attracts lightning in thunderstorms — a hazard, not a bonus), and wear rain clothes for extra hearts while it’s raining or storming. All six of these features are enabled here, so treat them as working equipment when kitting out a base or farm.
Anticipated questions
Is the watering can just decorative? No — it permanently hydrates farmland on right-click, so it’s a genuine farming convenience item, and it’s enabled by default on this server.
Should I hold an umbrella out in a thunderstorm? Be careful — the umbrella attracts lightning during thunderstorms (enabled here). It also slows falling and reduces fall damage when held up, so it’s genuinely useful, just risky in a storm.
Do these need to match on client and server? Yes — the config is gated behind a warning that changes must match on both client and server and require a full restart.
