Chef’s Delight
Jar: chefs-delight-1.0.4-fabric-1.20.1.jar (mod id chefsdelight, by Redstone Games). This is the thinnest of the Farmer’s Delight add-ons in the pack — its entire en_us.json is four lines. It adds exactly two new villager professions, Cook and Chef, giving Farmer’s Delight’s cooking loop a dedicated villager trade chain (buy/sell FD ingredients and dishes through a profession built for it) instead of leaving those trades scattered across vanilla professions or absent entirely.
There’s no new block, item, or crop here — it’s a small, focused compatibility/flavor addition that hard-depends on farmersdelight (declared in its fabric.mod.json) and exists purely to give the cooking-focused half of a Farmer’s Delight village something to do for a living.
How you’ll use it here
This mod is invisible until you get a villager into the Cook or Chef profession, at which point it becomes your trade route for Farmer’s Delight ingredients and finished dishes. Set it up mid-game once you have a village and a working FD kitchen — it lets you buy the FD staples you haven’t farmed yet, or sell surplus cooked food for emeralds. There are no blocks or recipes to craft yourself here; the whole value is the villager economy it plugs into.
Anticipated questions
What does this actually add? Two villager professions, Cook and Chef, giving Farmer’s Delight’s cooking loop its own dedicated trade chain instead of leaving those trades scattered across vanilla professions or absent.
Do I need it to cook? No — cooking works fine without it; this only adds villagers to trade FD ingredients and dishes through.
How do I get a Cook villager? Generally the same way as any villager profession — an unemployed villager claims the profession’s workstation placed nearby.
