Unlike the other add-ons in this category, Farmer’s Knives isn’t themed around a place or creature — it’s pure cross-mod compatibility glue. Farmer’s Delight’s Cutting Board mechanic wants a knife made from whatever tool-tier material the player has on hand, and vanilla FD only ships Flint/Iron/Golden/Diamond/Netherite. This mod fills the gap: 61 named knife variants are listed in its lang file, each matching a metal/material tier added by some other mod in the pack — Vibranium, Adamantium, Rose Gold, Gilded Netherite, Chitin, Aeternium, Thallasium, Terminite, Cincinnasite, Manasteel, Elementium, Terra, Enderite, Ruby, Amethyst, Steel, Obsidian, Copper, Soul Alloy, Warden, Dragon, Gobber, Adamantite, Bronze, Carmot, Celestium, Durasteel, Hallowed, Kyber, Metallurgium, Mythril, Orichalcum, Osmium, Palladium, Prometheum, Runite, Star Platinum, Stormyx, Ironwood, Steeleaf, Knightmetal, Pendorite, and more.
In practice this means whichever tech/magic/tool mods happen to be installed in the pack, their material tiers get an automatic matching knife so players never have to fall back to a lower-tier vanilla knife just because their preferred mod’s material isn’t “known” to Farmer’s Delight. How you’ll use it here
You won’t go looking for this mod — it just means whatever metal or magic tier you smelt from the pack’s tech and magic mods automatically has a matching Farmer’s Delight Cutting Board knife, so you never have to drop back to a vanilla flint or iron knife. In practice, once you’re mid-to-late game with fancy materials (Enderite, Manasteel, Mythril and the rest), craft that tier’s knife and keep butchering with your best material. It’s pure convenience glue for Farmer’s Delight’s cutting step.
