Let’s Do: Brewery

Jar: letsdo-brewery-fabric-1.1.9.jar (mod id brewery). A German-Oktoberfest-themed brewing mod and the first entry in the “Let’s Do” series, built on top of [[[Let’s Do] API]] (hard dependency, doapi >=1.2.9). Its lang file lists 17 items and 45 blocks. The in-mod tagline sets the tone: “Ozapft is! Brau Bier, beiss in a Bretzn – willkomme zum Braufescht!” (“It’s tapped! Brew beer, bite into a pretzel — welcome to the beer festival!”).

New crops are hops and barley (plus corn, shared with the wider farming loop), fed into a proper brewing chain: Wooden/Copper/Netherite Brewingstations and matching Silos for storing dried grain, producing Wheat Beer, Barley Beer, Haley Beer, and Hops Beer served in Beer Mugs, alongside named whiskey bottles (Bottle of MaggoAllan Whiskey, Carrasconlabel Whiskey, Lilitu Single Malt, JoJannik Whiskey, CristelWalker Whiskey) aged in Big Barrels. Food-wise it adds pretzels, sausage, pork knuckle, fried chicken, “Half Chicken à la HadariYao,” mashed potatoes, potato salad, dumplings, and gingerbread. It also brings Oktoberfest-themed cosmetic armor (Brewfest Hat/Regalia/Trousers/Boots/Dress/Blouse/Shoes) and tavern furniture (Bench, Table, Bar Counter, Cabinet, Drawer, Sideboard, Wall Cabinet) built via the shared API’s cabinet/drawer sounds. A “Beer Elemental” mob (sounds defined in the API) and a “Booze Spawn Keg” item suggest a boss/summon tied to the brewing theme.

How you’ll use it here

This is your beer-and-tavern branch — grow hops and barley, build a Brewingstation and Silo, and brew Wheat/Barley/Hops beer plus aged whiskeys in Big Barrels. It pairs with Oktoberfest food (pretzels, sausage, pork knuckle) and tavern furniture for kitting out a pub. It’s a mid-game themed project rather than survival cooking; take it on once you’ve got a farm running and want a drinks economy separate from Let’s Do: Vinery’s wine and Let’s Do: HerbalBrews’ tea.

Anticipated questions

What do I grow for beer? Hops and barley (plus corn), fed into the Brewingstations and stored in Silos.

Is this the same as Vinery or HerbalBrews? No — Brewery is beer and whiskey, Vinery is wine, HerbalBrews is tea; they share the [[[Let’s Do] API]] plumbing but are separate drink lines.

Do I need anything installed for it? Yes — it hard-depends on [[[Let’s Do] API]] (doapi >=1.2.9).
