The Prison

A dimension chapter built on the Mine Cells mod (Dead Cells crossover). You enter a randomly-spawning Prison dungeon, fight the giant eye Conjunctivius, and unlock the Cell Crafter weapon system. Conjunctivius doubles as a Void’s Invasion herald (Rec. Lv 30), so this chapter pairs naturally with the mid-game campaign. See Exploration, Dungeons & Structures Mods and Creatures, Bosses & Mobs.

Walkthrough

  • Enter the Prison — The entrance spawns randomly throughout the Overworld; find it to enter the Prison dimension.
  • Defeat Conjunctivius — Spawns in The Lair, found underground within the Prison. To damage it you must first kill its tentacles. (For the Main Story version you first need a Vine Rune from the Promenade — see Void’s Invasion.)
  • Visit the Promenade — Take the elevator on the last floor of the Prison to reach the Promenade of the Condemned. Bring a Waystone or Pocket Wormhole so you can get home.
  • Cell Crafter system:
    • Craft a Cell Crafter — Makes various melee and ranged weapons for the Mine Cells armory.
    • Loot a Monster Cell — Drops from monsters in the Prison dimension; needed as crafting material.
    • Craft Cell-Infused Steel — Some Cell Crafter weapons require it.
  • Quick Healing! (Health Flask) — Cell-crafted from Guts + Monster Cells; heals 10% of max health and grants regeneration for a few seconds — a very useful sustain item.

Tips

  • Bring fast travel back (Waystone / Pocket Wormhole) before going deep — the Promenade is far from home.
  • Against Conjunctivius, focus the tentacles first; the body takes no damage until they’re gone.
  • The Health Flask is worth prioritizing early in the chapter for its cheap, repeatable healing.

Anticipated questions

  • Where’s the Prison entrance? It spawns randomly around the Overworld — you have to find it.
  • Why can’t I hurt Conjunctivius? Kill its tentacles first; only then can you damage the eye.
  • What’s the Cell Crafter for? Making Mine Cells melee/ranged weapons (and the Health Flask) using Monster Cells, Guts, and Cell-Infused Steel.
  • How do I leave the Promenade? Bring a Waystone or Pocket Wormhole in with you — it’s suggested before you take the elevator.
