End Remastered

End Remastered (by jack_bagel Dev, maxmitchelson Dev, and artists gilvoisard/And; mod id endrem, fabric-end-remastered-5.2.4.jar) reworks the classic “hunt down a stronghold with Eyes of Ender” loop by splitting the single vanilla Eye of Ender into 17 themed variants, each tied to a different source: the Old Eye (desert pyramid loot), Rogue Eye (jungle temple), Nether Eye (nether bridge chest), Cold Eye (igloo), Magical Eye (woodland mansion or evoker drop), Black Eye (buried treasure), Lost Eye (abandoned mineshaft), Wither Eye (wither drop), Guardian Eye (elder guardian drop), Cursed Eye (bastion treasure), Exotic Eye, Evil Eye, Undead Eye (skeleton horse), Cryptic Eye, Corrupted Eye (pillager outpost), Witch Eye/Witch Pupil (witch drop), each with its own flavor-text lore entry and a matching advancement (“Fortune Seeker,” “Welcome To The Jungle,” “Arghh, Where be Me Ship?,” etc.).

On this server the mod is configured conservatively via config/endrem.json: vanilla Eye of Ender usage and throwing are both disabled (ENABLE_EYE_OF_ENDER: false, THROW_EYE_OF_ENDER: false), and eyes don’t randomly spawn already-placed in portal frames — so the alternate-eye loot hunt is the primary intended path here rather than a bonus layered on top of vanilla eye-throwing. Both the Cryptic Eye and Evil Eye are left obtainable. As a lightweight, config-driven “reforge the path to the End” mod, it complements the heavier worldgen overhauls in this category (Better End, Eldritch End) without touching biomes or terrain itself.

Anticipated questions

Q: Why can’t I craft or throw a normal Eye of Ender? A: On this server End Remastered disables vanilla Eye of Ender usage and throwing (ENABLE_EYE_OF_ENDER: false, THROW_EYE_OF_ENDER: false), so the alternate-eye loot hunt is the intended path to the End rather than vanilla eye-throwing.

Q: How do I open the End portal then? A: You collect from 17 themed Eye variants, each tied to a different source — e.g. the Old Eye from a desert pyramid, Nether Eye from a nether bridge chest, Cold Eye from an igloo, or Magical Eye from a woodland mansion / evoker drop — and each has its own advancement.

Q: Where do all the eyes come from? A: They’re tied to structures and mobs across the world — desert pyramids, jungle temples, igloos, woodland mansions, buried treasure, abandoned mineshafts, bastions, and pillager outposts among them; see Structures.
