Industrial Revolution
Industrial Revolution is another full industrial tech tree — tools, weapons, machines, and ways of generating resources. See Tech & Automation Mods.
Industrial Revolution is being removed from Prominence
The chapter itself announces that Indrev is leaving the pack, phased out gradually so players can migrate to Tech Reborn and other tech mods. Reasons given in-quest: the mod was abandoned by its developer, cables don’t transfer at their advertised speed, and machines break unbreakable items / kill things they shouldn’t. Phase one makes all Indrev cables uncraftable and lets you convert them to Tech Reborn cables at any time; other features are unaffected for now. If you’re starting fresh, prefer Tech Reborn instead.
Walkthrough (if you still use it)
- Nikolite line — mine for Nikolite Dust (a turquoise dust with useful machine properties). Infuse iron with it for Nikolite-enhanced ingots, and combine with Diamond Dust for Enriched Nikolite. The Solid Infuser is the only machine that can infuse Nikolite — central to the whole tree.
- Machine tiers & tools — Machine blocks come in tiers MK1–MK4; Circuit upgrades (MK2/3/4) speed processing and allow more enhancers. Use the Screwdriver to configure machine input/output sides and the energy cube.
- Fluid/Item pipes — need a Retriever Servo (pulls into the machine it points at) or an Output Servo to move contents.
- Automation machines — Sawmill (more planks + sawdust), Chopper (auto plant + fell trees, needs an axe), Slaughter (kills mobs with a supplied sword), Rancher (auto-breed and kill animals). Each has a top-tier variant.
- Mining Rig — generate ores using RF: a Mining Rig Computer + 1–8 Mining Rig Drills + Drill Heads + an Encoded Ore Data Card (encode 64 of an ore in a Data Card Encoder; add Enriched Nikolite, 16 per 1%, to raise richness/yield).
- Modular armor — Helmet/Chestplate/Leggings/Boots that accept modules (e.g. Color Modules). The Core of Modularity is charged in a Capsule using Laser Emitter(s) placed 3 blocks away; power with LF and pulse redstone. Warning: pulsing an emitter at an empty capsule destroys the capsule, and pulsing one not facing a capsule makes it explode.
Notable rewards & tips
- Enhancers boost machines; the base enhancer adds +25k LF capacity per upgrade.
- The chapter openly flags one weapon as a “meme weapon — please don’t use it unironically, it’s bad.”

Anticipated questions
- Should I invest in Industrial Revolution? Not for the long term — it’s being removed. Convert cables to Tech Reborn and build your factory there.
- My Indrev cables won’t craft. Intended — phase one made them uncraftable; convert existing ones to Tech Reborn cables.
- What replaces it? Tech Reborn is the pack’s recommended alternative, with Modern Industrialization and Create as other options.
