Transmog
Lets you reskin any weapon or armor piece to look like a different item without touching its actual stats. The in-game Quest Book frames it as its own school of magic: “Transmogrification is a type of magic that allows you to change the shape of any object without altering its function, letting you to mask your items into another, including weapons and armors. It does not give any benefit aside from being purely cosmetic.”
Mechanically, you craft a Transmogrification Table and power it with Amethyst — every reskin costs amethyst, but no items are consumed, and you must actually own the item whose appearance you want to copy (so you can’t fake owning a Frostmourne skin without one). A second trick unlocked via the quest chapter uses a Void Fragment as the transmog material to hide a piece entirely — the “Illusion of Nothing,” useful for players who want invisible boots/helmets without losing the enchantments underneath. Server config (config/transmog.json) has rendering set to IN_WORLD (other players see your transmogged look, not just you), tooltip detail set to FULL, and PvP-disable duration left at 0 (transmog isn’t suppressed after combat).
This exists specifically because the pack’s other weapon mods — Simply Swords, Marium’s Soulslike Weaponry, and the S’kellak’s Forge legendary artifact weapons — hand out gear with strong, very distinct stats attached to very distinct models. Transmog is the release valve: keep the strongest weapon’s stats, wear the look you actually want.
Anticipated questions
Does transmog change my item’s stats? No. It reskins any weapon or armor piece to look like a different item without touching its actual stats — purely cosmetic, as the Quest Book itself states.
How do I transmog an item, and what does it cost? Craft a Transmogrification Table and power it with Amethyst. Every reskin costs amethyst, but no items are consumed. You must actually own the item whose appearance you want to copy.
Can I make a piece of gear invisible? Yes. A quest-chapter trick uses a Void Fragment as the transmog material to hide a piece entirely — the “Illusion of Nothing” — useful for invisible boots or helmets without losing the enchantments underneath.
Do other players see my transmogged look?
Yes. Server config sets rendering to IN_WORLD, so other players see your transmogged appearance, not just you. Transmog also isn’t suppressed after combat (PvP-disable duration is 0).
Why does the pack include this? Because its weapon mods — Simply Swords, Marium’s Soulslike Weaponry, and S’kellak’s Forge legendary artifacts — hand out gear with strong, very distinct stats on very distinct models. Transmog lets you keep the strongest weapon’s stats while wearing the look you want.
