Villagers Plus
Adds four new villager professions — Alchemist, Occultist, Horticulturist, and Oceanographer — each with their own workstation building and trade pool, and each buildable into any of CTOV/Towns and Towers’ biome village variants (plains, taiga, savanna, snowy, desert weights are all configured per-biome in config/villagersplus.json5; the Oceanographer’s workstation is weighted highest at 15 versus 10 for the others in every biome). Villagers gain up to 2 new trade offers per profession level (max), and the Wandering Trader can carry up to 5.
The standout mechanical detail: the Alchemist’s workstation can explode. can_explode is enabled with an explosion_chance of “1 in 3” per interaction — a genuine risk/reward element baked into what’s otherwise a peaceful villager-trading mod. There’s also an Enchanted Basin that stores up to 500 XP, transferring 50 per interaction, letting players bank experience with a villager rather than only via bottles.
This is the fourth of the pack’s village-overhaul mods, but unlike the other three it doesn’t touch village generation at all — it only adds new professions/trades/workstations that populate whatever villages CTOV, Towns and Towers, and Integrated Villages produce.
