AllTheTrims

By Bawnorton (also author of DynamicTrim and BetterTrims) — “allows any item to be a trim material and makes all armour trimmable.” Vanilla only lets a handful of ingots/gems act as trim materials on standard armor; this mod removes both restrictions at once, letting any item in the game (including modded items) act as a trim material, and letting any armor piece (including modded armor) accept a trim.

This is the foundation the other two trim mods in this pack build on: BetterTrims attaches passive gameplay effects to specific trim materials, and DynamicTrim handles rendering those trims correctly on non-vanilla armor models. This server’s config (allthetrims.json) has debug logging off and includes an anti-reupload watermark message baked in by the modpack author, confirming AllTheTrims ships as a Prominence-II-integrated dependency rather than a drop-in vanilla-only mod.

Anticipated questions

What two restrictions does AllTheTrims remove? Vanilla only lets a handful of ingots/gems act as trim materials, and only on standard armor. AllTheTrims removes both at once: any item (including modded items) can act as a trim material, and any armor piece (including modded armor) can accept a trim.

Does AllTheTrims itself add gameplay effects to trims? No. It’s the foundation the other two trim mods build on — BetterTrims attaches the passive gameplay effects to specific trim materials, and DynamicTrim handles rendering trims correctly on non-vanilla armor models.

Who made it? Bawnorton, who also authored DynamicTrim and BetterTrims.

Is this a plain vanilla-compatible drop-in? Not quite — the server’s allthetrims.json has debug logging off and carries an anti-reupload watermark baked in by the modpack author, confirming it ships as a Prominence-II-integrated dependency.
