To The End

The dimension chapter for the End, heavily expanded by Better End and Eldritch End. Reaching it is a mini-quest of its own — vanilla eyes of ender don’t work here. Once inside, it’s a huge exploration checklist of biomes, structures, ores, and mobs, plus the Obsidilith boss (also a Void’s Invasion herald). Many of the Void campaign’s late dimensions (Primordial Abyss, Hasturian Wastes) are reached from here. Content is from Dimensions & Space Travel Mods and Exploration, Dungeons & Structures Mods.

Walkthrough

  • Getting to the End / Entering The End — You need 12 (at most) of the 16 unique eyes — normal Eyes of Ender do not work. Specific eyes are found in structures or traded for at the chapter’s Eye Trading node (no guarantee of the one you want; trades restock after a day). Enter the portal with twelve unique eyes.
  • Free the End! (Obsidilith / the Dragon) — “Kill the Dragon and free the End of its reign.” Obsidilith (creature of rock and hate) is summoned at its Arena via an Obsidian Heart. (The corrupted Ender Dragon “Jean” is fought via Main Story.)
  • Biome tour — Long list of “Visit” quests: Blossoming/Blossoming Spires, Hasturian Wastes, Dark Amaranth Forests, Shadow Forest (bring light; kill Shadow Walkers), Umbrella Jungle, Primordial Abyss (aberration heart region), Crystal Mountains (Aurora Crystals), Chorus Forest (farm Chorus for Galena), Ice Starfield (Ancient Emerald Ice), Amber Lands, Sulphur Springs, Lantern Woods, End Highlands, Glowing Grasslands, Megalake Grove, Umbra Valley, Painted Mountains, and more.
  • Structures — End City (top priority — best loot), End Gate Fortress, Shipwrecks (End-City-tier loot), End Village (ender pearls, smithing templates, ingots), Eternal Portal (restore it with six Eternal Crystals placed on surrounding pedestals to earn the Eternal Light), Heavenly Rider / Heavenly Challenger, Mega Ship, Phantom Citadel.
  • Mob quests — End Slimes, Aberrations (stack corruption), Dendlers, Endermen (→ Mutant Enderman), Shulkers, Phantoms.
  • Materials to collect — Galena Chunks (highest chance of a Mythic roll when reforging — you’ll want a ton; see Gear Rarity & Reforging), Chorus Fruit, Purpur, Aurora Crystals, Tenanea / Helix / Lucernia / Umbrella / Dark Amaranth woods, Umbralith, Lumecorn, Ancient Emerald Ice.
  • Rewards & gear — Tier 4 Trinkets (kill a Shulker / get any Tier IV trinket), End’s Delights cooking (knife-kill End mobs for powerful foods), Icarus Wings (Elytra-like, go in the cape slot, no durability/fireworks; Nether Star variant costs no hunger — best with no armor), and the Explorer’s Compass (costs Trophies but makes finding structures trivial).

Tips

  • Stockpile Galena in the Chorus/Chorus Forest areas — it’s the top reforging material for pushing gear to Mythic.
  • Make End Cities your first priority for gear and templates.
  • Buy the Explorer’s Compass early in the chapter; it saves hours of hunting the biomes/structures above.
  • In the Shadow Forest, bring light — something follows you there.

Anticipated questions

  • Why won’t my eyes of ender open the portal? You need the 12 unique eyes (of 16), found in structures or traded at the Eye Trading node — normal eyes don’t count.
  • What’s Galena for? It has the highest chance of a Mythic reforge roll — farm it in the Chorus Forest.
  • What should I look for first in the End? End Cities (best loot) and an Explorer’s Compass to speed up everything else.
  • Are Icarus Wings better than an Elytra? They have no durability, use the cape slot, and don’t need fireworks — but more armor weighs them down; the Nether Star version also costs no hunger.
